If there's one thing, and there are many, that I wanted dropped for Halo3 from Halo2 it's dual-w. That constant "what 2 weapons shall I take to the next bit" was one of the things that made Halo. And when you knew the game like the back of your hand it was "right let's try that next part with a different 2 weapons". That line from Jason Jones about Halo2 being like Halo but, I can't remember it exactly-something like a ninja going through a burning hospital or something-I'm sure a lot of you will know the one, along with the announcement of dual-w. got me worried about Halo2 straight away. I remember a lot of people thinking how Halo2 was going to be like Halo but only better after hearing that J.J comment. I don't want to get into a H2 is rubbish, I'll keep it clean, compared to the first game debate here. I know a lot of people that prefer Halo2 and even though the first game is probably my fave game ever the second one isn't far behind. Maybe System Shock 1&2, Deus Ex1 & Half-Life 1 inbetween. But I do know a lot of people on this forum do prefer the first game. As a side-note I've always thought a poll would be interesting. I'd also like to see some sort of poll as to dual-wielding. I only play on Legendary and the only time I really dual-w is say with needlers at the start of Delta Halo as Covies jump off the Phantoms and you can let loose whilst they're still in the air. Then as I'm prepping this I pass a weapon on the deck that I want to swap with my backpack weapon. So it's drop a needler which I sometimes lose, change to backpack weapon, swap that for the weapon I want, switch back to needler then try and find the other needler. Or how about whilst dual-w you want to lob a nade. Say you're close to a drop. As Halo2, especially on Legendary, can be so fast paced you drop your left dual-w weapon, lob the nade - which may be too late as when you originally wanted to throw the nade you had a perfect opportunity of taking a group of 3 or 4 out, but by the time you've dropped the left weapon the group have scattered. Then you try and find the other weapon and in the mean time a biscuit (grunt) comes up and pounds you with needles. Another of those moments where I think that wasn't fair whereas if I died in Halo1 I always knew it was because of something stupid that I'd done. And the amount of times I went to change from my held weapon to my backpack one and found myself dual-w my held weapon along with another dual-wieldable one. Rant over for today. By the way I'm English. Any Brits out there know if this EGM magazine comes out over here?
