There were many reasons to keep the scores from the movie maker. One reason is to stave off emails from angry submitters who want to argue scores that were given. The purpose of this system was not tell them how close or how far they were from our golden film in the sky, it was to provide feedback and hosting.

Another is that the submitters may end up, eventually, altering specific content to get it to "sqeak" by the system. Unfortunately, for many who are submitting movies, the age is wrought with individuals who would rather be passing instead of outstanding.

Our goal is to get them to consume all the feedback, weigh it with all ten reviews, and consider some changes in total. Not to tweak one element only, in hopes of getting it to pass.

Although many have asked for it and believe that there is value in posting the specific numbers, so they can compare their reviews with others -- this won't be happening. If you read Q: Can the reviewers see the results of each others responses? you can understand some of that logic.

So.
Instead of jumping to conclusions, I will wait until many more have their turn at providing input.
