I concur-- this is the behavior I always see, and so the question as asked made sense to me. For instance, if I start Cairo Station on Legendary to get the Thunderstorm skull, I quit and save just before I get the skull. When I continue from my saved checkpoint, I start the level just before the area where you meet Keyes and I have to backtrack to the skull. However, I can play through that level for a long time. If, rather pausing the game and choosing "save and quit" from the menu I merely shut the Xbox off, when I restart the box and choose "continue" again, I will start again from the area near Keyes and the skull-- even if before shutting down I had advanced much further and passed other checkpoints. | |
