Clue about GS343 on bungie.net ??

. If we look closely and compare the menu bar of the Halo 2 website to the Halo 3 website, we see an interesting difference. (I am talking about that menu bar that says Games, Stats, Community, etc...) On the Halo 2 menu bar, we see Guilty Spark as it is: blue and shiny. The bar also shows some green "growth", almost like some sort of plant. There is a general appearance of cleanliness to the scene. http://www.bungie.net/Games/Halo2/ If you look at the Halo 3 menu bar, Guilty Spark seems dead and burned. Its luminocity has given way to scratches and marks, and the famous blue eye is turned off, maybe broken. The area abour GS is also rusty and scratched, and this gives a feeling that something destructive happened. A final war that destroyed even Guilty Spark (something that our shotguns could not do in Halo1, lol) http://bungie.net/Games/Halo3/ What could this mean for the game? If Guilty Spark dies, what influence will that have on game? I thought that every Halo structure had its annoying robot to watch over it, but it seems that GS has a more important role than just manage flood outbreaks. What could this mean?
