Twisting falling leaves Blowing, racing, circling wind Has no memory [Seasons, imagery, and an attempt for emotional impact] Of course, they also originated in (Japan?) where there was usually a bit more intensity you could pack into syllables. Nowadays, skill with the Haiku is just packing as much as you possibly can into the format. For example, summarizing Halo in Haiku might be as simple as... Pillar of Autumn Racing from the fall of Reach Master Chief awakes -or- Covenant bastards Have released the Flood in here Lock and load and go
