But there is no evidence yet that Flood can assimilate AI's, or Constructs. We never see a corrupt program or construct anywhere on Halo.

2401 Penitent Tangent cannot be used to explain anything, as a construct the Flood cannot infect Tangent biologically. However, many have come to the assumption that because it is within the grasp of Gravemind, Penitent Tangent's programming is corrupt. Yet absolutely nothing points to such evidence.

If anything, the fact that 343 Guilty Spark takes the index away from John 117 on Halo Alpha (04) citing the reason 'You are susceptible to infection.', clearly demonstrates that a Forerunner construct is a safer carrier.
