I : belive they get about 28,000mph out of the barrel on that sucker. there : projectiles are quite small. : Suprisingly nasa has made materials that resist that impact without too much : damage. The scarry part? The matierals nasa made were incredibly thin and : mostly filled with presurized air. NASA kicks some ass. I am all for space travel, new technology, etc. I think we should spend more money on things such as this. I also heard NASA was working with this EMP technology to perhaps launch objects into space. It would save them the money for the huge amounts of fuel it takes to get objects away from the earths gravitational pull. I don't know if they were considering the technology for launching satellites, shuttles, whatever... though I doubt a human could stand the Gs.
