Goodness, today must be the day to post fallacies.

The Pillar of Autumn (notice the lack of 's' in Pillar) is the ship the humans arrive at the Halo on. It was never in Marathon - in fact, it was never heard of before halo.bungie.com went live for the first time on July 21, 1999.
