I actually gave up on Marathon when I first played it because I couldn't figure that one out. (I was in, I think, middle school at the time... my puzzle-solving skills were probably less than honed. :-)) It didn't occur to me until I gave it another try several weeks later that the platform in the middle of the V would raise and lower continuously and was thus supposed to be used as an elevator and not set to a static height. I played through M1A1 a few months ago, though, and was looking forward to finally getting to kick that puzzle's ass, only to find that I no longer needed to. My feelings were mixed. :-) |
