In Response To: A concise and terribly awesome guide to M-thon (Lt Devon) : M1A1 version 1.6 Special Edition for Windows.
There's a Special Edition of Mac M1A1 too; is that what you're linking to? And aren't the non-SE versions much closer to the original Bungie game? : M2 pfhor Windoze Which should also run on Aleph One for Mac, last I heard. I could be wrong. : Marathon Infinity is not yet freeware. You can download the demo somewhere, but you might as well just play the other games while you're waiting for Infinity. The beginning of M1A1's first level isn't actually from Marathon. REB made a homage to the ending of Marathon's [?prequel], Pathways into Darkness. It also is not yet freeware, and you need MacOS 9 or earlier to play it anyway. There are also various bits of the story released by Bungie outside the games themselves, like the Nar Chronicles, Hamish's interview with Greg, vague usenet posts by Greg, and the Pfhor Mating Ritual(s). I don't think anyone's compiled a list of them yet. |
