Grave. The resting place of the corpse. The Flood, in my mind, are a embodiment/punishent of sin. Since Regret was reincarnated in the Flood, then the gravemind is Regret's Hell, if you will. After all, the Covenant are very proud and convinced they know the secrets of their gods. They will be punished. Plus, there is this one passage in the Bible that says that God once killed one who touched the Ark of the Covenant. A foreshadow of MC's fate, Hmm?
