: The whole process actually works pretty well for frame grabs of the rotating
: hog at
: However, I've found that the cross-eyed technique adds very little to the
: perceived depth of a rotating object. It just gives you a headache as you
: struggle to maintain focus, especially with the "army of one"
: shot. Stereoscopic Halo PC screens are still a good option, I've done it
: myself, but I'm not going to pursue this animated stuff anymore.

: What would be cool is if we had two players aiming at exactly the same spot
: take a screen at the same time TOD style. Alternately, they could just
: turn on fraps while looking at the same spot and then grab the choice
: pairs. That way we could get some cool action shots.

dunno much about 3-d onna machine, but i do know a lot about it in photography.
true 3-d is not 2 pics, it's 3. one for each eye, eye width apart, and a center pic, between em.
if you look at recent 3-d cameras, it's twin lens, but the really old ones, for stereoscopics were 3.
in order to represent this in a print, takes a difficult special process, for the two lens camera. but with the 3 lens mutha, it's no problem at all.
