In Response To: Concept to 3D (LordHex) You're model is very good actually, one of the best Halo fan models I've seen yet. I respect what you're saying, as I am a CG artist myself, and it makes me very angry when beginners get a lot of praise, but be nice. Posting your own model was going too far I think, but other than that I think you haven't been very harsh (in terms of words) on Wraith, though I haven't seen a "this is very good for a beginnner" yet, which would've been nice. Like bentllama said, mostly what you said is fine, you just should've worded a couple posts it in a less derogatory way (a couple other posts were actually very well done though)... You're first "Re: Interesting" post was pretty harsh, but the end of your second one was, in fact, a pretty good thing to say. Wraith is trying, and he could be really good, but he just needs more practice. He doesn't "suck" per se, he's just inexperienced, and his model isn't horrible, it's somewhat good actually. I think most people don't realize how harsh critique in the CG world is, and has to be (except of course, bentllama). So yeah, just be careful how word stuff. But anyway, you're model is a very well built model (NURBS? What program?), keep it up, and give Wraith some productive critique. | |
