In Response To: THERE IT IS!!! (Sep7imus [subnova]) : New Halo2 infoe (Fall2004) and a pretty picture on bungie.net. : -Sep7 ... There are no words. Well, besides these: The new shield effect is very pretty...very very pretty. Is it just me, or does it seem to glow brighter in the specific spot where the shield is being hit? Look at the blue guy charging at the lower right part of the screen...on his left side, the shield is definitely brighter. Hard to tell what weapon the red guy shooting him is using... The rocket launcher appears to be the same, but the models of the rockets themselves are different...whereas the Halo1 rockets were vaguely bomb-shaped, this rocket is very cylindrical. Perhaps there are now different ammunition types, rockets included? Doubtful, but who knows... Look at the fire effect in the background, beyond what Sep7 aptly identified as the 'ribs'...OMG FLAMETHROWER MB. OMG...BBQ...MB. The new wheel blur effect is very nice...and something about that hog is just too cool for school, man. Also, look at the textures on the cliff face to the right. Sooooo pretty...yay bumpmaps everywhere....yay... The atmosphere of this level is great; but is it modeled on a single-player environment, like some of the MP levels in Halo 1 were? Let's hope so...this sort of apocalyptic desert looks very cool...and is that starship wreckage that makes up the 'ribs'? Quandries indeed... SOOOO AWESOME. | |
