Perhaps as in Ring World, the control rooms will have access to the defence systems, and allow major attacks at different areas of the Halo map. That might be fun... To look up and see a giant plume from the sun descending upon the area just up a head of you... Kind of scarry. But it would take out massive instalations :-)
