Covenant in single player

This seems so obvious that I am shure it has been discussed before. We know that you will be able to play covenant soldiers in multiplayer (right), so I was wondering if there will be two single-player storylines. It would seem like a waste for Bungie to program the ability to play covenant soldiers than to restrict their use to multi-player. The covenant storyline would seem to be a little boring though: "we have the humans out-manned, out-gunned, and have better technology; go get them." Sputnik
