In Response To: Volunteers: Aie Mak Sicur (Mark Levin) :It's unclear how long ago
I have always thought that the player himself is not actively travelling back in time of his own volition or instinct. He is always SENT there. At the end of M2, Thoth probably sends us back, because in Ne Cede Malis we are sent back after we discover a Jjaro terminal (Yrro? Thoth?) on the station. In all the other timelines we go back as soon as we uncover Thoth again. In this failed timeline, we go back right as Tfear says "I make this wrong right." I believe Tfear uses the Yrro station to send you back in time, to prevent the release of the W'rkncacnter, even though it would likely lead to his own race's downfall. Remember in the prologue, the message from Tfear? Where he realizes that his own race's pride inevitably unleashed this horror that would destroy the universe? I think it's just part of Tfear's character that he is one of the few Pfhor intelligent enough to be capable of realizing they as a species have made a mistake, and regretting it. In this terminal, I think he would even sacrifice his own short-lived victory to stave off a universal defeat; and thus he sends you back to stop it all, using the Yrro station. | ||
