"Grasshopper, you still have much to learn." Somehow, I just can't picture Durandal as a wise sensei. Back in M2 Durandal mentioned something about never letting the marine go. It wasn't until the end of Infinity (well, the last level before the 'closure' that he was released.
I find it far more likely that Thoth, or something else is sending him around like Scott Bakula.
