After i heard about this about few months ago i checked this out. Cause i wanted to know if this was true because i am going to buy an iPod soon. Well, i found out that battery replacement is a lot cheaper than they said, what i found out was that it just costed around 40-60 bucks. Now still don't trust that number because i am not 100% sure. If someone can back me up or proove me wrong then that would be good. : Most of the origonal 5Gb iPods out there are still working fine and mine is : still holding the same charge (if not more with firmare updates) as it did : 12 months ago. : Tech kit is not 100% identical to every other copy that comes off the line.. : the battery in the iBook I have is working perfectly while the one in what : was my dads TiBook died after just a few months. : anyways.. back on subject will do some more to get stuff running.. for some : reason I can't remap keys in the latest Aleph One for OSX.. strange.. That's odd... still i don't know if this is not working for me, i don't remap my keyes. i keep them like the good old Marathon keyes :-) No mouse for me.. bwhahahaha :-)
