I think Hamish did an adequate job of dissecting the possibilities. (Hamish, forgive me.) I think the problem with the Leela page (and other MSP pages as well) is that Hamish's [and contributor's] speculations appear on the page in chronological order as the subject was discussed... a moderated thread, if you will. So you are forced to read the entire thing to get a real sense on the subject. (You can't just scan the top paragraphs.) So let me summarize *parts* of the Leela page as I see it. Durandal tells us that Tycho said Leela went to the Pfhor homeworld. Look, here is a picture of a world with Pfhor writing. However, the final M2 screen says Leela was reactivated by the Vylae and became a real pain. Yet, in Requiem For a Cyborg we read a term that hints Leela is "trapped
Could Tycho be mistaken? But, he was on the Pfhor homeworld - he would know. Maybe Tycho lied. Maybe Tycho told the truth but Durandal lied to us. Maybe they both lied. Maybe Bungie screwed up. --- So, in reference to your issue: Yes there is conflict in what is said in-game. Hamish is not confused. There is probably no real answer. --- I've got my own ideas about the whole story of the relationship of the 3 AIs, but I know better than to rant here... I need to re-read more of Hamish's pages before I make a fool of myself... | |
