Okay, this post might get long.

What it actually says is "Meeting People is Easy" and "You Are a Target Market".

The following site:
http://www.popmatters.com/film/meeting-people-is-easy.html
has this to say about "Meeting People...":

--"Grant Gee's 1998 documentary Meeting People is Easy, which follows rock band Radiohead on their OK Computer tour, is often wildly kinetic, sometimes eerily static but always bubbling under the surface with distortion and static. The harmony of imagery and sound is powerful enough at points to lure the viewer into a sense of awe at the dynamic music of the band and the quiet, elusive, "artistic" personalities of the musicians. However, this film does much more than simply promote or document the band or the tour. In many ways, it functions as a visual companion to the "Paranoid Android" vision of OK Computer."--

Here is a bigger pic of the cover:

Hmmm, that description reminds me of a certain third-party scenario which we know and love so well....

References to Radiohead are nothing new to the Marathon community, as several fans and at least one B.Org insider are dedicated listeners, so this isn't all that surprising. What I think IS kind of strange was that I was listening to this album a few weeks ago thinking about how it would make the perfect "soundtrack" to the Rubicon gaming experience...

However the mention of Radiohead's 1997 release is very pertinent to the Rubicon Scenario. Just at a first glance, the album cover

http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000002UJQ.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

has a schitzophrenic design that parallels that of Rubicon's term pics rather nicely. The later albums "Kid A" and "Amnesiac" also have cryptic sleeve designs, and all three of these albums deal with themes such as:

1. Being alienated (violated?) by consumerism and corporations, which should remind us all of Dangi: "There were fat, bloated men rolling in money..."

2. The reality of computers and technology taking a bigger and bigger role in our lives: "and decrepit, pathetic kids ensconced in technology"

3. The exponential growth of information and information availability in this technological age: “Information wants to be free.”

4. And with the above the abuses possible by those who claim to be scientists and those who employ them: “Science has to stand alone.”

There are more themes, but many of them overlap and are subject to personal interpretation.

Here are the lyrics from just the first track:

Track 1: Airbag

"In the next world war
in a jack knifed juggernaut
I am born again
In the neon sign scrolling up and down
I am born again

In an interstellar burst I am back to save the universe

In a deep deep sleep of the innocent I am born again
In a fast german car I'm amazed that I survived
An airbag saved my life

In an interstellar burst I am back to save the universe
In an interstellar burst I am back to save the universe "

Whoa whoa whoa, hey now, knife? juggernaut? born again? interstellar burst? save the universe? What's going on here?

BTW, for all the lyrics to this album go here:

And though I'd love to put all of the pertinent lyrics here, I won't, because I'd have to literally include them all. Upon gazing through the lyrics to this ablum I was struck by just how well they go along with the Rubicon feel, those lyrics are DEFINATELY worth the read for those unfamiliar with Radiohead and interested in Rubicon.

Essential links:

(You'll need Flash and Quicktime)
This is the official website and it embodies all of the disturbing, disjointed lines of type and menacing scribbles that are all so...Rubiconian. Definately worth the visit.

and

which is a little more...coherent.

Hmm....glad I got THAT out of the way, maybe I'll have more later.
