Well, maybe saying that Infinity was best forgotten was a bit harsh ;-)

Infinity introduced some real inovations that others used in their 3rd party scenarios. I actually liked the dream sequences, which Rubicon exploits nicely, although the absolute best dream levels are in Excaliber IMHO. The texture set in Infinity was a significant improvement over M2's and the SMG finally gave us something useful under water. Infinity also has much better lighting, making possible some really creepy effects. The poll numbers speak for themselves, however. I just found the plot to disjointed and didn't really understand it at all until Mark explained it in the original Volunteers series. No offense, but I think that Bungie missed the mark with Infinity. Do I enjoy playing it? - Of course! But I'd rank it well behind Rubicon, Evil, Tempus Irae, Pfh'Joueur, Excaliber and perhaps even Trojan. Granted, most of those scenarios wouldn't have even happened were it not for Infinity – but that doesn't meant that it couldn't have been much, much better.
