:: By the way, does anyone have any idea what the significance of the name Hex
:: Level 73 is? Is that based on the hexidecimal number 73 (decimal number
:: 115), or the hexidecimal equivalent of the decimal number 73, which is 49,
:: the square of 7?
: You're looking at the wrong person here. I don't even know what a hexidecimal
: is :)

I once asked the author of this map (Tim Thomas) what the title meant. I don't remember the exact answer, but it's a purely technical/work title that somehow stuck. He wanted to give it a "real" title. I didn't. The "Hex" part comes not from hexadecimals, but from the hexagonal shape of the map. I don't remember where the number 73 came from. Number of attempts? Number of crashes suffered during editing?

BTW: The polies were lain with Pfhorte or whatever that M1 editor was called.

: The wierd thing about these super brainy Pfhor is that they are invulnerable
: to energy weapons. No explanation of why this is so is given.

It isn't? I thought we put that in there somewhere.. Oh well.. the theory *cough* is that it's protected by an energy field that sucks up all forms of energy attacks.
