Also I thought the difficulty of the game added to the creepyness of : the it. : i actually find m1 and m* much creepyer. You've just installed Marathon Infinity, eager to find out what happens after Marathon 2. Maybe you'll find out where Durandal got that cool Jjaro Dreadnaught. In Ne Cede Malis, everything seems straight forward enough. Durandal seems awfuly upset, but, hey, the game needs a plot, right? But still, things are oddly familiar, like from... nah... Then you get to look at the purdy Craig Mullins art, and you're on a Pfhor ship, talking to Tycho. But this makes sense. Didn't Durandal want you to escape to Tycho's ship? So you wind up on... Lho'owon? Huh? Wasn't it trih xeemed in the last game? But you get caught up in the game, doing Tycho's bidding, being the pawn, doing his bidding, being surprised when BoBs turn around and gun you down with grim efficiency previously unknown to you. And then? Electric Sheep One. You don't know what's going on now. Why's that Thoth chap sending you messages? And why do they make less sense than usual? You begin to become unsettled. And then you reach Where Are Monsters in Dreams, and it's revolving yellow walls. Silence. Darkness. And then petrifying terror as hundreds of half glimpsed shadows attack.
