In Response To: Re: Deimos and the Marathon (Thoth Wannabe)

: Yeah, but there were *three* of these "powerful" AIs on the
: Marathon and we never hear anything about Durandal taking over any phfor
: AIs in order to take over the ship. That means that the Marathon must have
: had a lot more room then that phfor ship.

Try and keep in mind that Durandal was able to cram all the important parts of himself inside our head.

Now if, IF my assumption about AI's needing planetary-size networks to BECOME rampant, not to BE rampant is correct, Durandal could probably fit quite nicely in a Pfhor scoutship's computer systems. Also remember that the Pfhor ship has the FTL Drive and is probably more manuverable and has better weapons systems, can be kept up by a crew of S'pht Durandal freed, and the fact that Durandal really would see Leela and Tycho more as a burden or as competition to him if he protected them and kept them on the Marathon...
