The quick succession of white text terminals never struck me as odd. Especially since this happens much more frequently in the next Chapter. : So two similarly styled white text messages back to back, one in a failed
My interpretation is that "way" means two different things in each statement. In the first it means a specific "way", find a new specific timeline. In the second it is more broad, broadly to stay with the difficult task of defeating the W'rkncacnter, : And what is it with the last part of Hang Brain? You grab the chip... then it

: Free choice? : If you smash the circuit panel you pretty much deny yourself a major story
The way I interpreted this was that the green broken-Durandal text is what the main character sees. The white text is just for us players, and the split caused by breaking the circuits is Double Aught's way of showing us both. In a way, this is a microcosm of the narrative device used with the failure timelines; there is the option of simply missing them and missing a portion of the story, but diligent players will find it. A somewhat similar terminal split takes place in A Converted Church... and I spend an entire page talking about it.
