![]() | In Response To: Aye Mak Sicur (Lion O Cyborg) It sounds like a close relative of English, whatever it is (aye => I, mak => make, sicur => sure), so if it's not something like Scots, maybe Middle or Old English? It appears that "siker" and "sicor" are the Middle and Old English words for "sure", respectively. And "mak" means "make" in some North East dialects of even Modern English. The only English roots for "aye" that I can find mean things like "always", but honestly "always make sure" sounds more like a motto than "I'll make sure" anyway, and maybe Greg just misremembered the translation?
