On somewhat-related note: I wonder if the Jjaro are one of the few races without a fear of AIs because, unlike SOME people, they have the good sense to not treat their AIs like tools and/or garbage.
At the very least, Thoth never mentions being abused (IIRC), and it seems that Yrro and Pthia treated the S'pht well.
I don't go with the theory that 'Jjaro = AIs', but either way, widespread AI-phobia might be part of why the Jjaro seem to operate from the shadows and not more-openly like they did in the '90s. If that makes sense.
