In Response To: Re: Temporal Starting Point (Martin) From a storytelling perspective I could say that M1 and M2 are separate from Mi. That is, M1 and M2 tell a linear story while Infinity's narrative is more of a nonlinear mesh where you're looking at a multiverse from outside, really. It mildly annoys me then that the conflict introduced in M2 (the W'rkncacnter) is resolved (as best I can describe) spiritually in Infinity. Rather than a proper third act to conclude the story. I just discovered something silly as I looked up the spelling for W'rkncacnter. The revelation that it was freed from Lh'owon's son after the tri xeem was deployed is only actually mentioned in Infinity. This means that the linear plot was indeed concluded with M2 and Infinity is even more a poetic epilogue of the universe than I thought before. That really helps bring some closure into my mind.
