Always good to get a fresh look at these. As you say some have already been suggested before but you offer some new interpretations.
P'thia's Ship is interesting. While this is possible I'm not so sure. Pfhactory N'Utopia was also called Vulcan by Randy Reddig. Here's his old Pfhactory page:

I am thinking that all the names are Randy's creation rather than Bungie's. Perhaps it was going to be that 'less endearing name' before he finally settled on Vulcan.
"To the crew of the Marathon, it was known by a less endearing name..."
Now I wonder what that could have been? ;)
