Marathon Sounds list

Marathon Sounds list

Since we are on the subject of Marathon Sounds does anyone know if there is a complete list of the names of the 104 sounds used in Marathon 1? I don't believe Bungie ever released a definitive list so the only lists are fan created. I know of two, Mikes Gaines and The Scarlet Pumpernickel's. The latter is a later more complete listing.
There is at least one sound that is difficult to place (probably not used). Though to be fair a few sounds are only ever used once, so there is a chance that you may never hear them. For example, where do you hear a locked alien door in M1?
You won't find that sound in M1A1, it was never assigned. Though there are sounds in M1A1 that are not in the original game. The alien weapon flyby sound, for example. It's nice but not authentic.
If you only play solo there is good chance that you won't hear some of the other weapon flyby sounds (rocket, Zeus, etc).
Anyway, this looks like a good project for the Sounds in Marathon section of the Story page.
