: I'm pretty sure you can hear it when you stand on an open split door, and
: wait for it to close on you. The door will make the error sound and
: reopen, starting the cycle over again. There are split doors on all the
: Pfhor levels.

Yes indeed. I had forgotten about this. Just tested it and it does make the same sound. So from being a 'rare sound' it is actually quite a common sound. =)

You (re)learn something new about Marathon everyday. :)

Of course it begs the question why you would want to stand on a split Pfhor door and ride it up until your head bonks the door coming down. Didn't your father tell you on Mars "Make me proud. Never stand on an alien door when it's closing." ?

: With the stock M1A1 Sounds file, you can't hear it because the "Pfhor
: Door Obstructed" slot is empty. I guess they forgot? If you were to
: reimport the sound, however, an obstructed alien door would indeed make an
: obstructed alien door sound. :)

One day perhaps someone will fix all these things in M1A1. ;)

Cheers
Hamish
