I suspect Hamish can't talk about it for fear of causing another paradox.
Similar to the teachings of Tarvu, there are "A" and "B" universes. However in our case the universes aren't simultaneous, but sequential.
We currently live in the "B" universe, which is a product of Hamish's tinkering with the "A" universe. Eventually, an unknown entity only know as "Hsimah" will appear and undo everything and start the cycle again.
Strange dates associated with Gnop and some mislabeled Moo disks are some of the few clues to be found.
