I have actually tried both these apps. SoundApp does a whole bunch of conversions except... wait for it... MIDI. Bizarre isn't it. Why no MIDI conversion?

All Midi just coverts MIDIs into Quicktime format so that they can be played in MoviePlayer. Won't do any conversions.

I checked that forum thread. I don't think people are seeing the real problem. We have to do the conversion with QT2.0 installed otherwise the MIDI file won't playback correctly.
