I need some info on PID, please.

I am a person who is very interested in all things video game related, particularly old games; I love 'em. I heard about Pathways Into Darkness a bit ago, and started looking into it. It looks AWESOME.
I, however, neither own a mac nor know where I can get a copy of PID.
And, as cool as the Aleph One port is, I would prefer to play the real deal.
Does any form of emulator exist for the PC?
If no, will this game run in OSX?
And, where can I get a copy of this game?
Any help is appreciated, I REALLY want to play this game. :(
(PS: Forgive any ignorance on my part, I know next to nothing about these games.)
