I talked with Irons, and he solved the issue for me. Appearently, only data values are forgotten when restarted from a patternbuffer.
On pc(SDL), it's important to .bin the mapfile. IF the resourcefork is alone outside of the mapfile, it will forget ALL lua when restarted from a patternbuffer.
So, as long as the script doesn't have any data values, lua for solo gameplay works great.
