I knew a guy in high school who was grey-skinned. I was convinced for a while that he was the future of our species, and that these grey 'aliens' people have supposedly seen were actually just time travellers from the future.

Then again, that was the same guy who one claimed to have been driving with a friend on the freeway and gotten so stoned that they accidentally drove into a wormhole and wound up where they were going hours early. YMMV. (Pun intended).
