: My first Bungie game was Myth II. It was extremely fun and addicting, and I
: loved doing the level where you assault the Baron's Stronghold over and
: over. Following that was Gnop!, and now Marathon. So far, Marathon is the
: only FPS I truly enjoy aside from Wolfenstein 3D. I've played Doom, Quake,
: Duke Nukem, Quake III, Unreal Tournament, Deus Ex, Medal of Honor and so
: on, and they were fun for a while, but only these two FPS games have
: managed to appeal to me.
I completely agree. For a while Quake III: Arena had me hooked, but soon enough it was quietly put to rest on my shelf. I'm mainly a FPS'er, but Halo really got me hooked on the genre. You should give it a try. Apparently, Lorraine McLees (one of Bungie's artists) felt sick whenever she saw a FPS. However, Halo had a special element to keep her hooked. Marathon is interesting because its really something for a game of its age (10 years now). It has mostly the same elements Halo has, so that keeps me laughing every time I see something which Halo was obviously derived from. SPNKr, anyone?
: And lucky for me I don't have to register or any of such to post here.
You can register, but the only real benefit is a page where you can write something people can look at and security so no-one can post under your name.
