Then, later in Halo (if they ever make one) the player would then transcend into another timeline, where he'll do more good there, seeing as how his world in his current timeline is devastaded and humans are nearly on the brink of extinction ,seeing as how thier population is reduced to 6000 somehow by Covenant attacks.
