I haven't yet noticed this attitude and I'm not exactly the cream of the crop either. The reason YOU, and specifically you, are getting this impression is because you've got this bad attitude that makes people dislike you, especially the established veterans of the board that don't like it when new guys are "generous enough to share some tips."

I visit a Doom board as well. Do people have a worse attitude over there? Maybe, but it's something garnered by the lack of sophistication of the game, it's not because they're retarded. Most of them are fairly intelligent and level-headed, so watch your generalizations. Now if you said Grand Theft Auto 3...
