**DON'T BUY IT NOW!**

According to the MacRumors Buyer's Guide, the iBook is reaching the end of its cycle. Sit tight and wait, and you shall be rewarded soon :)
BTW, I ignored this page's advice and bought a 3G iPod as I was about to go on a very long road trip. Sure enough, the 4G iPod came out less than 2 weeks later, and for $100 less! Do I feel burned? You bet I do, but probably better than if I'd fallen asleep at the wheel because I was in the middle of nowhere and couldn't find a decent radio station, so I guess I made the right decision, even if my wife disagrees ;^)
