In Response To: When did you first play a Marathon game? (Krazy) I first picked up a copy of Marathon 1 when it was fresh in 1995, I was nine years old and just received my first computer for my birthday. It was an astoundingly high-tech Macintosh PowerPC 6100. I wasn't very good at first, but a little practice got me hooked like with Doom and Wolfenstein. I enjoyed that game thoroughly, and got Marathon 2: Durandal next year, which I enjoyed even more. By the time I played Infinity, I was beginning to appreciate that there was a story to the game. Unlike most young kids, I was addicted to RPGs since I played Final Fantasy 1 on the NES, so the story was a welcome addition to the bloodshed.
