When did you first play a Marathon game and how old were you? I was first introduced to Marathon in 1996 when I was 5 and my Dad brought home Marathon 2 one night. I think we'd just got our new Performa 5400. I absoultly loved Marathon from the first moment, it was one of my first FPS games (first was the Pathways demo I played in 1995 on our older mac but I never got into it as much) and made me appreacite FPS games having a story (I was disapointed in trying the much bragged about by my friends DOOM a few years later which I saw was like a much worse version of Marathon with no plot). A while later we got Marathon infinity since my dad and his mates had also taken a shine to marathon and would play network games round my dads friends place (When I went to my dads friends house once i got a chance to try my first Marathon net game when I played against my dads friends kids fun fun fun). When we got Marathon infinity I started making levels in 1997 or so when I was 6. I made them for years it was so fun :). I also liked editing the sprites and stuff in Anvil fun fun fun. I played with anvil and forge for years from 1996 or 1997 or so until 2000 or so. Well now I'm 13 and I still play Marathon to this day. Well how about you? | |
