I first played Marathon as a demo in 1995 , when I was 6 . Most of the time Iwatched my sister playing but she never passed through Arrival .
A year later (or more , I can't exactly remenber ) I got the demo of Marathon 2 . I was completely amazed and layed it for months and months ... Then camed the Marathon Infinity Demo .. But because I live in France , I never heard of a place where I could buy Marathon . In 1999 I discovered Marathon in network but again , my sister didn't want to shoot me or the BoBs in the M1 demo . In 2001 I was able to play the 3 Marathons (demo , of course ) With my friends but the "2players-limit" was ... Irritating . But in the same time I spoke of marathon all around me in my town and few of my friends were interested in it but , still , I only had the demos and it was stopping their interest . In 2003 , after months of discussions with my mother , she bought me the Mac Action Sac . I received it the last day of class , and I was so happy .. You just can't imagine !! After all those years of waiting , My first network experience ,the discovering of scenarios on internet but the inability to play them with the demo , I GOT IT !!!!!Now I have made 7 copies of the Cd ( In case of breaking ) and I'm planning to make a scenario with a friend of mine who's speaking only french . But ya know , In a small town like mine , making network parties on my olds macs ... ( 5 (!) macs in my bedroom and a bed ) I was wonderin' , are there any marathon fans in france ? Oh and I am dreaming of marathon clothes but there's nowhere I can find them ... Sniff ....
