Obviously I started writing my post before John submitted his, but I was right on the money about how he avoided the first half of the level. The blood lowering trick makes things so much easier - too bad you missed it. I agree with you, however, in that the omega cannon is too well hidden - very few of us would have it - perhaps none of us if John hadn't found it (I won't tell you how he did it, but it wasn't through ordinary gameplay). You are, however, given two opportunities to pick up the fusion mace, so in that case fair is fiar.
