: I'd just like to take a moment to thank/congratulate everyone who contributed
: to this remarkable review/disection of the TI series. My head is still
: spinning from reading all of the posts, much like many of your heads were
: spinning traversing the levels ;)
: It would be impossible to address all of the questions raised, and maybe some
: of them are best left unanswered. I also happily accept any and all
: criticisms, as well as praise for the work we put into the series (oh so
: many years ago). Reading people's reactions to certain areas of specific
: levels took me right back to our development/testing days on irc.
: A lot of the comments hit the nail right on the head, while others were
: slightly off base...a fine balance which again, I thoroughly enjoyed
: reading.
: The only topic I'd like to address is the comparing of scenarios. To me, each
: one is a Masterpiece in itself. Comparing one to the other is like
: comparing Picasso to Dali - they are completely different flavors and
: styles. No one is the be-all-end-all of gaming experiences. Each
: compliments the other and pushed their creators explore the unknown. My
: hat's off to anyone who has created even a single level, much less a
: multi-level scenario.
: Once again, thanks for the wonderful trip back in time - especially those who
: painstakingly dictated every step over tens of thousands of carefully
: created polys :)
: ...Borzz
Hi Borzz, but....WAIT! It's still going on? I'm not ALONE? Playing Tempus 'something' until my brain gets spongy & my hearing goes? No surprise here. When we all first saw the architecture way back when, we knew 'something' was going on :-) There's maybe two people in 'our' universe; well, only one possibly, who don't pause in awe at the ceilings, the pink tile floors, the Leonardo terms, the you-name-it detail, and then "play" like there's no tomorrow. 'Cause we always play tomorrow. And Sunday; maybe Thursday evening :-) Monday lunch time. Yes indeed, this "Masterpiece" is impossible to stay away from . . . and the pleasure derived due to your efforts (all of you!) is endless! I've been playing all these flavors (everything!) since '96? Holy Cow! Thank Leonardo and the Good Lord...or whomever said it: "Tomorrow Never Comes". Gotta go, I'm drowning somewhere..... :-) Thanks, saved my life in a dark time :-)
