This may not solve the problem, but go to the provided link and download the latest OSX build of Aleph One. If you're wondering what Aleph One is, it's the open source version of Marathon, an enhanced version with many new features and such, such as 256x256 textures and it will run natively under OSX. Simply replace the Marathon Infinity application with the Aleph One application.
