Funny how the KKV-7 is, after the Magnum, probably the best way to go for sniping if you want to kill with bullets. The outline of a bullet in the Weapons Manifest also doesn't look like a metal splinter with fins on the front (or back, either), but instead a small, thin bullet. Maybe the tips are made of weak material and they cause more damage than a clean straight-in wound would -- like the Greek javelins of old, whose heads broke after striking something. Try to help your impaled buddy by yanking the javelin out of him, and you'd probably yank out some vital organs with the javelin. The Romans did something similar, with a soft metal shaft as the head, so their enemies couldn't toss the recently-thrown javelin right back.
