The shape is all wrong for flash suppression. For such a thing you would need holes along shaft. As for a silencer, it could have the correct diemenions inside, but the outside shape would tend to just cause a more akward muted sound. I have not seen a combined suppressor in a *long time* because of how illegal they are, but am pretty sure it does not look like the flechette.
