I was about to post that rifle after you wrote it down.

The reason they didn't buy it was because a single flechette doesn't do much damage. It can penetrate almost any armored vest you can find, but it lacks significant power to make it worth while. We'd have soldiers unloading half a magazine just to bring down one person.
